Every second Saturday from April 8 to August 12 (except July 1), the Ancestors’ Gallery will welcome beadworking artists from various Indigenous backgrounds, who will demonstrate different styles and techniques of beadwork.

Jamie Metallic
Jamie Metallic is a Mi'kmaq member of the Listuguj Mi'gmaq First Nation residing in Ottawa. She is a self-taught artist, who has had an interest in traditional crafts since early childhood. She enjoys incorporating both traditional and non-traditional materials and design into her creations, finding a personal connection in every item. Jamie has been making traditional beaded mittens, moccasins, ribbon skirts, quill earrings, beaded earrings, beaded bracelets, Pow-wow regalia, and Conchos belts for the past seventeen years.
